It was a successful wake up call. I started calling everyone at 4 a.m. the only person who wasn’t fully awake was professor Steven Berry. The pickup started at 4:30 a.m. We arrived on set at 6 a.m. breakfast was served. Rehearsals/set up began at 7 a.m. and the cameras rolled at 8 a.m. We were wrapped on our first day by 12:30 p.m. The success of the day had to do with the fact we were working with only one actor Aisha Ralph and we weren’t recording dialogue. Aisha looked flawless…and so was her performance. I kept the morning moving…and was able to disappear into a corner to catch up on some other work.
Everyone worked together like a well oiled machine and Howard is very pleased with the footage. The true test will be tomorrow. Brent joins the cast and we will be recording dialogue. I’m anticipating a VERY LONG day. It was good to be off to a great start…it sets the tone for the rest of the production.
